Ingredients in boxed Jell-O:
SUGAR, GELATIN, ADIPIC ACID (FOR TARTNESS), CONTAINS LESS THAN 2% OF NATURAL AND ARTIFICIAL FLAVOR, DISODIUM PHOSPHATE AND SODIUM CITRATE (CONTROL ACIDITY), FUMARIC ACID (FOR TARTNESS), RED 40.
100 percent junk food! And sugar free Jell-O is even worse.
Ingredients in my Jell-O:
Ah, Jell-O, an excuse to have whipped cream for dinner!
GRASS FED BEEF GELATIN
100 percent nutritious! Best of all, no Red #40! And it is sugar free without garbage like artificial sweeteners.
I juiced half of a big watermelon. I got about 4 cups of juice. Heat 2 cups of the juice. Whisk in 1-2 T of gelatin depending on how firm you like it. It seems that one Tablespoon for every two cups of liquid works nicely. Once that is dissolved completely, add the rest of the juice. Chill overnight. Top with generous amounts of whipping cream. Next time, I am throwing in diced kiwi fruit as well! Strawberries would also be perfect. Tuna, I can do without...forever. What is the funkiest Jell-O salad you have ever tried?
